Aamir Khan’s latest release P.K. entered the 100 crore club on the fourth day after its release.
The movie, starring Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Saurabh Shukla and Sushant Singh Rajput, has got mixed reviews from the critics and mixed reactions from the fans. Its start at the box office on Friday was surely below par, but the business has been up since Saturday.
What’s more heartening is that the film did not show a big dip at the ticket windows with the start of the week on Monday.
Here’s the break-up:
Friday: Rs. 26.63 crore
Saturday: Rs. 30.34 crore
Sunday: Rs. 38.44 crore
Monday: Rs. 21.22 crore
The four-day total of the film comes at Rs. 116.63 crore net at the Indian box office.
Movie Review: Aamir Khan’s 'PK' is funny but flawed
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘PK’ has taken four days to enter the 100 crore club. In comparison, Aamir Khan’s previous film Dhoom 3 had achieved that feat in just three days.
Trade pundits predict that ‘PK’ will enter the 200 crore club by the end of this week, if not before. ApunKaChoice will keep you updated.
