Did you know that Salman Khan lent his trainer to Aamir Khan for Dangal?

Did you know that Salman Khan lent his trainer to Aamir Khan for Dangal?

Like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, too, is bulking up with a vengeance. The actor has already put on seven kilos and is in the process of piling on eight more by November 22. That’s when he starts shooting for Sultan, which has him playing a wrestler.
To achieve his goal, Salman has been undergoing some “painful” training. Says the superstar, “The weight I need to put on is of the muscular kind. It’s got nothing to do with diet. I eat correctly — I have my protein, chicken and fish. I need to train harder and be focussed.”
His training regime includes different kinds of workouts. He says, “I am learning how to grapple, the floor work (important for fighters), how to kick and how to get kicked! It’s not that we cannot do what they (fighters) do, but they have been doing it for so many years, they do it with ease. I need to get that ease, the flexibility, power and quickness in me. I do about three-four kicks every day, but have to increase it to 150-200 kicks.” Salman devotes four hours to this workout and follows it up with weight training.
What’s interesting is that the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star is training on his own, having lent his trainer Rakesh to Aamir Khan for Dangal. “Rakesh helps me out whenever I need him, but right now, Aamir needs him more,” he says.
Ask him if increasing and reducing weight takes a toll on his health and he quips, “Of course, it does. But I am doing it in a healthy way. Earlier, I used to work out differently, now my workout is aimed towards making me strong.

This made us cry: No Aamir Khan in Lagaan 2

Aamir Khan

Superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly not working on the sequel of Oscar nominated sports-drama "Lagaan". There were rumours that Aamir has started work on the second installment of the film, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.
"It is completely false news (Aamir working on the sequel). It is not true at all," sources said.
The film, released in 2001, revolved around a small village where the locals oppressed by high taxes found themselves in an extraordinary situation as an arrogant officer challenges them to a game of cricket as a wager to avoid the taxes. There were also reports that actress Prachi Desai was finalised to play the lead female protagonist. The 50-year-old actor is currently busy working on his most talked about film "Dangal" in which he plays wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.

Sultan and Dangal

Salman Khan is currently in news for his tough look with a moustache in "Sultan", which was revealed in the film's first look poster.
On the other hand, the first look poster of Aamir Khan's "Dangal" showed the actor's angry and muddy face.
Salman and Aamir will be seen as wrestlers in their respective movies and both the first look posters of the two films received good response from fans.
IB Times India conducted a poll asking fans who according to them looks better as a wrestler -- Salman Khan or Aamir Khan.
According to the poll results, Salman fits the role of a wrestler better and 56.92 % voters voted for the "Sultan" actor, while 43.08% voters found Aamir to suit the role better.
Aamir reportedly turned 90 kgs for "Dangal", which will present the actor as legendary wrestler Mahavir Phogat. He will also be seen as a father of two grown-up daughters.
Two newcomers, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra will be seen as Aamir's daughters in "Dangal", while Sakshi Tanwar will play the role of the actor's wife.
Salman, on the other hand, recently stated that he will have to be double his size for "Sultan", as he gears up to play the role of a wrestler from Haryana.

Aamir Khan’s Brother Faisal Khan Opens Up About Being Tagged ‘Mental’

Aamir Khan’s Brother Faisal Khan Opens Up About Being Tagged ‘Mental’

louder than words. “Or else how could a mental person be acting in movies?”, he said. “I was also proved normal by the Court. Not many people are aware of that, the verdict says it all. It was a bad time when all these issues started doing the rounds. I have put all that behind me and today all of us in my family are together”, he revealed.
When the interviewer asked him if he ever tried seeking help from Aamir Khan, the actor said that he belongs to a celebrity family where people haven’t seen failure like him and hence “how will you guide others on the same?”. On being asked if they themselves ever tried looking into his grievances or help him with his career, the actor said “it is for you to see if your character and story is good. Then you see if the production house has the money to spend to make the film”.

Dangal vs Sultan: Aamir Khan or Salman Khan – whose first look is better?

The first look of Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ was shared few hours ago. But that rough and tough look reminded of Aamir Khan’s look in ‘Dangal’. The ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ co-stars would be coming across each other on-screen in 2016. The interesting fact is both actors would be donning the role of a wrestler in their films.
In Ali Abbas Zafar directorial flick ‘Sultan’, Salman Khan is playing the character Sultan Ali Khan who is a 40-year-old wrestler from Haryana. Whereas in ‘Dangal’ Aamir Khan is playing the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat. The first look poster of the Salman in ‘Sultan’ and Aamir in ‘Dangal’ is very impressive.

When Aamir’s poster had released, it mentioned “Hoga Aaj Se Dangal Shuru”. Aamir showed a fierce and intense side. It revealed Aamir’s face in the backdrop of wrestling pit. Aamir who is known to deliver perfect skills just impressed the audience with the film’s poster. Now coming to Salman, even his poster had a punch line that read, “Wrestling is not a sport, it’s about fighting what lies within”. Salman Khan’s wrestler avatar is something new to the audience even though he has shown some macho skills in the past. Salman’s raw look will give the feeling that he is ready for the fight.

Salman Khan-Aamir Khan's fight: What Kiran Rao has to say about it?

Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Salman Khan

Following reports of Salman Khan and Aamir Khan's recent brawl at the latter's residence, Aamir's wife, Kiran Rao made a witty remark on the same.
There was a buzz that Salman Khan and Aamir Khan are no more friends as the duo engaged in a spat recently during a party at the latter's Bandra residence.
Rumours suggested that Aamir made some remarks about Salman's career and his past choices of films, which did not go well with the "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actor and he yelled at Aamir, calling him 'fake'.
However, Aamir's wife, Kiran Rao hints that these are just gossip stuff and hold no truth. She was attending a press conference in connection with the 17th Mumbai Film Festival, organised by Mumbai Academy of the Moving Image (MAMI) on Wednesday.
Kiran Rao was asked if she would like to comment on the rumours ofSalman and Aamir's verbal fight, the lady said, "I would love to. But, I am afraid that is after the MAMI conference and it's called the gossip session," stated Miss Malini.com.
It was also reported that Salman and Aamir's rumoured spat was influenced by their upcoming movies "Sultan" and "Dangal" respectively. Both, Salman's "Sultan" and Aamir's "Dangal" are based on the concept of wrestling and makers of both the films reportedly picked up the same shooting locations.

Shah Rukh Khan or Aamir Khan- Who will star in Imtiaz Ali’s next?

Aamir-Shah Rukh

Now that Tamasha is over and ready for release, all eyes are on what director Imtiaz Ali will helm next. Sources say that the director who is known to work mostly with Gen Next actors, will be casting one of the Khans in his next venture. And no, we’re not talking about Saif Ali Khan.
Sources say that either Shah Rukh Khanor Aamir Khan will feature in his next. The SRK film that he is in talks with might be a co-production with Red Chillies and Sajid Nadiadwala, who has signed the director for two more films. Imtiaz’s forte is modern-day love stories and SRK is the King of Romance; it will be interesting to see what the duo will do together. In fact, insiders say that Shah Rukh and Imtiaz had even met to discuss the possibility of doing a film. But that was a few months ago. SRK already has a couple of films on hand — the upcoming Dilwale, Raees and Fan, so this film might not happen right away.
Aamir, on the other hand, works only on one film at a time and is currently shooting forDangal. It’s more likely that he will sign his next with Imtiaz. It will be nice to see Aamir who lately has been doing action films, thrillers and satirical comedies returning to romance. Unless, Imtiaz plans something different, of course.

Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan’s film shooting comes to halt after FWICE strike

The Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees’ (FWICE) strike has affected some of the big ticket films, the shoots of which were brought to an abrupt halt. Be it Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale, Aamir Khan’s Dangal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani or Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Mohenjodaro.
Speaking on the issue, the President of PWICE told The Indian Express, “Shooting in Hyderabad, Cochin, and everywhere else have stopped. Our main body, federation of All India Film Employees Confederation (AIFEC) met us a couple of days back and pledged their support. It was decided that if anyone decides to shoot outside Mumbai while the strike is in progress here, workers will strike there as well.”
He even said that some of the top stars are supporting their cause and the strike. “Yes, Aamir, SRK, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker, Vipul Shah and all other knowlegable people are supporting us. They know why we are striking and that is why they have stopped shooting,” he added.
Shooting is still on at some locations in the country. Speaking on the demands they ahve raised, he concluded saying, “Our demands are simple and not unreasonable. No worker will work above their 12 hour shift. Labour laws stipulate an eight hour shift but seeing the schedule and ways of the TV industry we agreed for 12 hours. Now the producers are demanding it to be raised to 16 hours. That is inhuman. We also want every second Sunday off and will shoot only in case of an emergency. Also our workers are not paid for a period of 90 days. How do they expect us to survive?”
