Pix: Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and others come together to discuss a better Mumbai

Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and other popular celebrities from Hindi film industry came together on Saturday to discuss the plan for a better Mumbai. The meet was convened by MNS chief Raj Thackeray.

There has lately been criticism of the development plan for the city of Mumbai that also poses threat to the city’s green belt, Aarey Colony.

Talking about the issue, Aamir Khan said, “If the natural aesthetics of Aarey is disturbed due to the DP, it is a cause of concern. The Aarey milk colony should not be disturbed. Government should involve citizens in the development plan and seek their views to plan the future of Mumbai. If this had been done before, there would have been no need to hold such meetings.”

The meeting was also attended by Javed Akhtar, Salim Khan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Riteish Deshmukh and Mahesh Manjrekar.

The cine stars alleged, “If citizens are protesting against the new development plan, government should rethink and take decisions in the best interest of the city.”

The World Cup fever has gripped cricket fanatics all over the globe. So how can our filmstars remain unaffected from it?

His lucky t-shirt favours Team India too. Aamir wears this blue t-shirt of his while watching Team India play during a critical match; especially during the World Cup, as and when it happens. And everytime he wears it, the team wins the match.
However, this time around, he is a bit upset – reason being his physique that he has beefed up for his upcoming movie ‘Dangal’.
The ‘PK’ star rues the fact that he can’t wear his lucky t-shirt anymore because of his bulky body. He tried wearing it but the t-shirt did not fit him at all.
Aamir plays a wrestler in the movie and has worked extremely hard to physically mould into his character. He is at his heaviest, currently weighing 90 kg.
We are quite sure that Aamir Khan’s excitement will be no lesser while cheering up for the team anyhow.

Aamir khan, Sushant Singh Rajput

Dibakar Banerjee’s next ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ with Sushant Singh Rajput as the main lead has been gaining steam since the launch of its trailer.

The trailer in introduced Sushant as the private detective, but the identity of the bad man is still under wraps. Rumour has it, that Aamir Khan was the first choice to play the villain.
According to a report published in mid-day.com, “Around the same time when Aditya Chopra narrated the story of ‘Dhoom: 3′ to Aamir, Dibakar had approached him with his script. Both were challenging, negative roles for two YRF films. He was in a dilemma, but then finally decided to take up the ‘Dhoom: 3′ offer.”

Dibakar has confirmed the report, stating, “I wanted to make ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!’ after ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’. I was in talks with the studio and we thought the best guy to play the baddie was Aamir. We narrated the script to him. I didn’t know that ‘Dhoom 3′ was on the slate next with Aamir as the villain. He passed on my script. Two years later, we met after the Byomkesh teaser released and he said he loved it. I guess YRF’s gain was YRF’s loss.”

Bringing SRK, Salman, Aamir together? Even God can’t do it: Farah Khan

shah rukh khan, salman khan, aamir khan, farah khan

Recently, there were hopes and speculations that Farah Khan might do the undoable – bring the three Khans of Bollywood or atleast two under one roof in her cookery reality show ‘Farah Ki Daawat’, but the choreographer-turned-filmmaker and TV show host has quashed all those.
Farah Khan has gone on record and said that even God can’t bring the ‘Khan Trinity’ together, leave alone the mere mortals.
In a report published in Hindustan Times, Farah says, “I think even God can’t bring them together so I am not even attempting that. I tried to bring them together eight years back for the title track of ‘Om Shanti Om’ but even that didn’t happen.”
Farah has, however, not lost hope completely, as she says, “Let’s see, fingers crossed, if I’m able to cast Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir together, it’ll be fabulous. Chances are less but may be some day I might just get lucky, so never say no.”
Earlier, Farah did manage to bring SRK and Salman together and made them grove in the title track of her 2007 movie ‘Om Shanti Om’, which saw 28 other B-Town stars shake a leg together. So yeah, there’s still a li’l hope.
